As a working student at FD-Tech, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our testing system for ADAS functions. Our system integrates a simulation environment (Carla), a test manager (Python), and the device under test (ROS2 component). It is distributed across multiple devices and utilizes Docker for containerization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing concepts to further enhance the testing system
- Implementing new features and improving existing components (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Integrating ADAS functions into the system (ROS2 & Docker) for validation and demonstration purposes
- Orchestrating and setting up Carla scenarios and managing the results
- Documenting the system and supporting colleagues in setting up and using it
- Enrolled in a degree program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field
- Basic programming experience in at least one of the following: Python or C++
- Familiarity with Unix-based systems
- Experience with ROS2
- Knowledge of Docker is a plus
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- High level of initiative and curiosity
- Fluent in English, B2 German skills preferred
