FDTech supports the "Heroes of Everyday Life" project
Recently we introduced to you the start of the "School meets business" project. At the start of the school year, FDTech also became part of the "Heroes of Everyday Life" project, an initiative of the Alexander von Humboldt secondary school. In this project, high school students, not grammar school pupils, benefit from our commitment to education.
Every fortnight for six months, two pupils from the Alexander von Humboldt secondary school come to FDTech's training facilities to learn about the world of technology in a practical way. Guided by our colleagues Silvio Woltmann and Tim Endmann, they learn the basics of voltage and current and how to program the board, equipped with a notebook and "ARDUINO" material box.
This project is about more than just gaining professional orientation and preparing for a self-determined life. It is about a change of perspective, perception and reflection on one's own actions, beyond the everyday banalities. Not all students are lucky enough to grow up in a sheltered and educational family environment. Even today, the social milieu in which students grow up too often determines whether they will have a successful career.
We want to give pupils, regardless of their social background, an insight into our working environment. We invite young people to discover their strengths and talents through practical experience and testing their own abilities and skills. Our fully equipped training rooms and appreciative feedback provide a suitable, protected environment for this.
