Once again, FDTech employees met a Saxon education company with an international commitment
This time, FDTech was a guest at the Studiencolleg Glauchau Junsong Daily Meyer and Felicia Kollinger-Walter met with Dana Jähnert, Managing Director, and Bettina Zölsmann, Director of the Studiencolleg, on Monday to get to know each other.
The state-recognized Studiencolleg has been offering international applicants subject-specific and language-based study preparation since 1991 and works closely with institutions and organizations both nationally and internationally. The Studiencolleg has been a telc-certified examination center since December 2018. "telc" is the abbreviation for "The European Language Certificates".
The Studiencolleg is closely linked to the educational institution Saxony International School – Carl Hahn gGmbH International School - Carl Hahn gGmbH (SIS for short), which operates 19 foreign language daycare centers and 17 international schools in southwest Saxony, SIS Cairo West (a German school abroad in Egypt) and the company SIS Middle East, which operates three German-style automotive technology vocational schools in Egypt.
The managing director and founder of all companies is Rüdiger School, a Saxon, 71 years old and still in the thick of things. These companies work closely together, particularly in the area of international projects such as Erasmus initiatives and training abroad. FDTech has been awarding scholarships to particularly talented IT students at Saxony International Schools for three years now.
At the Studiencolleg Glauchau, students are prepared for technical, mathematical and scientific courses in so-called T-courses. The W-course, on the other hand, prepares students for business and social science courses. Almost 50 students are currently studying in these two German-language courses at the Glauchau site. There are also other language courses for various levels.
At FDTech, we hope that our cooperation with the Studiencolleg will provide us with good contacts to foreign students who have already decided to start their education in Germany. Whether as trainees, dual students or students - we would like to accompany these young people and support them in their training and help them integrate. Employees from 14 nations already work at FDTech today and enrich our day-to-day work with their culture.
We look forward to future cooperation with the Studiencolleg Glauchau.
