Diversity Drives Success: FDTech on the Future of Business and Democracy
In an interview with Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Karsten emphasizes the crucial role of diversity and international cooperation for both economic success and the future of democracy.
“None of our cars would be on the road if we didn't achieve this diversity and this good cooperation between the different nationalities,” said Karsten Schulze in an interview with Klaus Betz in June of this year.
There are currently 160 employees working at the site in Chemnitz, 30 of whom come from 16 different nations.
The election results of the last European and local elections are worrying. In the future, we will only be able to recruit employees with international specialists, partly due to demographics and acquired know-how. For the development of FDTech, we need a climate that is geared towards international specialists.
Prosperity will only be possible in the future if the economy is doing well. And the economy will only prosper in the future if we live in a diverse international community.
It goes without saying that we are committed to democracy and diversity, as these values are the basis of our economic activity. That is why we support the Business Initiative for Democracy and Diversity, widv.de.
We also see the challenges of our time. We, the people of Stadt Chemnitz and Freistaat Sachsen can be proud of what we have achieved together over the last few decades. It is precisely this community that is currently at stake.
The outcome of the state elections in Saxony and Thuringia will presumably help determine the direction of economic development after the elections. This makes it even more important to keep talking to each other in the coming weeks, however different the ideas may be.
“Saying nothing, as we know from history, is dangerous!” says Karsten Schulze. The time is over when company bosses can remain politically neutral. Our future is at stake.
